WebSep 10, 2024 · If it helps, the problem seems related to the z-hop setting. If I disable z-hop the pause on layer works as expected. With z-hop enabled the pause on layer doesn't work, or pauses at wrong layers. Z-hop was enabled by default in Cura 4.2.1 for the ender 3 profile. And again disabled for the ender 3 profile in Cura 4.3.0.

WebI found this reference to post-processing in superslic3r, that may work for you. Until you find the answer, you can manually edit the GCode and add it yourself, just open in a text editor and add the GCode. Cura adds comments into the file for each layer like this- ;LAYER:99 so you can search for the layer you want to stop at. With the method griffin (default setting when opening the dialog the first time) you couldn't even tell if the script was doing anything since no movement commands are executed. The print simply continued without any interruptions since the pause command is the only thing that would have had an effect.
