WebBut, believe it or not, it was an instantaneous break. It just snapped open, during a REGULAR use. Again, you can comment whatever you want to if it hurts your being fan (it hurts me more), but, neither the fact is going to change, nor I'm going to get my headphones replaced without $179. So, well, yeah, it sucks for me.

The contacts inside the jack are telling the hardware/software there's a headphone plugged in. You should be able to glue something to it and pull it out. Unless, of course, you've already super glued the plug to the jack. WebApr 11, 2015 · I'm guessing this is a desktop machine. It kind of depends on how easy it is to get to the internal connections of the headphone jack... It may be simple to actually disconnect the internal wire (s) from the plug, or disconnect them from the actual motherboard... There also may be settings for the machine to disable the headphone jack...
