Web17 Jun 2024 · Abstract: A mode-locked Thulium-Holmium doped fiber laser (THDFL) with a Germanium Selenide (GeSe) saturable absorber (SA) is demonstrated for operation in the 2.0 μm wavelength region. The SA device is fabricated by drop-casting the GeSe onto an arc-shaped fiber which is then incorporated into the THDFL to induce mode-locked pulses.
